RU Statement on Open Scholarship
As the World celebrates this year's "Open Access Week" (21-27 October 2019), the RU Library is pleased to articulate the road travelled and the road ahead in this initiative. The theme for the 2019 International Open Access Week is: “Open for Whom? Equity in Open Knowledge”. Please find attached a statement defining and articulating the position of the library together with a presentation by Professor Ahmed Bawa of the USAF on the strategic direction of SA universities in this global scientific movement.
