Take a break from your academic work.

There is a wide selection of lighter fiction, biographies and other readers on Level 4 but now you can also find a selection of popular books in the "chill" area on each floor

You are welcome to read in the Library, or borrow the books for leisure reading time at home 

RUL also subscribes to Overdrive, a collection of e-books and audiobooks for leisure reading, which are selected by the Library. If you would like to recommend an e-book, please contact Fiona Charlton (f.charlton@ru.ac.za) in the Information Commons (level 2)

DVDs/Films

Browse through our collection of DVDs on Level 1. You may take them on loan for two days OR view them at a private booth in the Library.

News Lounge on Level 1 of the library:

Daily/Weekly Newspapers

Business Day,  Daily Dispatch, Grocott's Mail, Herald (Eastern Province), Mail & Guardian,  Sunday Times, Star.

Back copies of The Burger (1874-2008), Daily Dispatch, Grocott's Mail, The Herald and the Mail & Guardian are housed in the Cory Library (Eden Grove)
